What it does:

Removes volunteers from liability for negligent acts or omissions committed while acting within the scope of their duties as volunteers.

What it does not do:

It does not protect volunteers if their acts or omissions result from:

1) willful or criminal misconduct;

2) gross negligence;
3) reckless misconduct; or
4) conscious, flagrant indifference to the rights or safety of the individual harmed by the volunteer.
